Class of 2026 Scholarship Application timeline
Applications Open: November 16, 2026 at 7:00 AM
Application Deadline: January 15, 2027 at 3:00 PM (no exceptions)
Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
What are the Requirements to Apply for a Scholarship Award
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to apply for scholarships, applicants must meet the minimum requirements detailed below. Some scholarships have additional prerequisites that will be included in the application descriptions.
- Have attended both 11th and 12th grades at a school within the William S. Hart Union High School District. Eligible schools include: Academy of the Canyons, Bowman, Canyon, Castaic, Golden Valley, Hart, Learning Post Academy, Saugus, Sequoia, Valencia, and West Ranch.
- Be graduating with the class year indicated on the application form.
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Have applied or plan to apply to a college or vocational school and plan to attend
- Be in full compliance with the William S. Hart Union High School District’s Student Rights and Responsibilities.
- Submit a typed essay of approximately 350 words in response to the writing prompt provided on the scholarship application for your graduation year.
If selected as a scholarship recipient, you will be asked to write a thank-you or acknowledgment letter to the donor.
When are Scholarship Awards Announced?
The names of scholarship recipients are announced during District High School Senior Award Ceremonies and/or Graduation Ceremonies held annually in May and June.
How do I Claim a Scholarship Award?
Once you are selected as a recipient, your scholarship check will be officially presented to you at your school's awards ceremony!
